Rusitc Direct was founded by Ian Hulbert who has a passion for all things wood, nature and the environment as a whole
Having observed first hand the amount of perfectly good wood going to waste in the UK, some 50+ million tonnes a year, Ian decided to do something about this and started rescuing wood pallets, dismantling and reusing the parts to create beautiful hand crafted products from Cladding and Apple Crates to Picket Fencing all made from 100% reclaimed wood
Since beginning 3 years ago Rustic Direct now supplies 1000's of products every week from the keen DIYer to global retail chain interiors.
Sustainability
All of our products are made with 100% reclaimed wood and is sourced locally within 15 miles of our HQ which keeps our carbon footprint to a minimum. We give a new lease of life to this wood that would otherwise go on to be scrapped with detrimental effects to the environment.
By using reclaimed wood we are doing our bit to reduce the demand for new wood which involves cutting down more trees. As well as reusing wood we also replant a new tree for every order we receive
